Matty was previously with Middlesbrough and Hull City Academies before leaving to complete his studies at Repton School where he captained the England Independent Schools team, he then had a spell at Scarborough Athletic before signing his 2 year pro contract with The Pars in May 2019.
Matty rejoins The Pikes after spells at Loughborough Uni, Basford, Mickleover and Bridlington Town
